  • Story of Scripture--Day #23 "The God Who Sees"
    Jan 23 2026

Day 23 — “The God Who Sees” | Genesis 18

    God doesn’t stay distant.
He draws near, reveals His heart, and invites His people into what He is doing.

In Genesis 18, God sees Sarah’s hidden laughter, hears the cries of injustice, and listens as Abraham boldly intercedes. This chapter reminds us that faith is more than receiving promises—it’s walking closely enough with God to participate in His purposes.

The God who sees also listens.
And He still invites His people to pray, trust, and stand in the gap.

  • Story of Scripture--Day #22--Marked as God's People
    Jan 22 2026

    Day 22 — Marked as God’s People

    📖 Genesis 17

In Day 22, we step into Genesis 17, where God confirms His covenant and reshapes identity through promise. After years of waiting and silence, God appears to Abram not to correct or renegotiate, but to reaffirm what He has already sworn. He declares Himself as El Shaddai—God Almighty, reminding Abram that time has not weakened the promise and impossibility is no obstacle to God’s power.

God then gives Abram a new name—Abraham, redefining him according to what God will do rather than what he has experienced. Identity is spoken before fulfillment, and Abraham is called to live from God’s declaration even while circumstances remain unchanged. Through the covenant sign, God marks His people as belonging to Him, showing that obedience flows from identity, not toward it.

The episode reminds us of this central truth: identity flows from God’s promise. God’s people are not defined by performance, delay, or failure, but by what God has declared. When we live from that God-given identity, faith is sustained, obedience becomes a response of trust, and waiting becomes possible as we rely on the God who always keeps His word.
