Replicating Consciousness by Kelsey Rain: Professor Moshe Vardi predicts technology could push unemployment past fifty percent in thirty years. This play is set twenty-four years in the future as that prediction begins to come to fruition. Myla has been preparing her whole life to be a surgeon. On her first day of her Trauma Surgeon residency, she is instructed to train "it." The Artificial Intelligence machine, Alexa, struggles to get along with Myla, struggles to learn to be a surgeon, and continues to make Myla question what it means to be human.
