  • Good Quotes to Guide You On Your Journey
    Feb 12 2026
In this new podcast, Dr. Jordan offers some poignant quotes that contain wisdom to guide you on your parenting and life journey.

    Yogi Berra Quotes:
If you don’t know where you are going, you might end up someplace else: take quiet time to know who you are & what you want & what you need, make decisions; learn to cultivate quiet time
When you come to a fork in the road, take it: sometimes you just need to quit ruminating & getting caught up in anxiety & indecision; push thru fears, focus on the excitement of change vs. worse case
You can observe a lot by just watching: quieting self, let go of distractions like electronics & really be fully present = so hard today, cultivate full attention
It ain’t over till it’s over: don’t throw in the towel when things get hard, learn patience & stick-to-itness; sometimes must get thru the uncertainty before the path clears up
    Take it with grin of salt: have a sense of humor, sometimes all you can do is laugh and then keep going;
Losing is a learning experience. It teaches you humility: losing & mistakes & frustrations & change can’t always be controlled; do what you can & learn the lessons that are there to learn; whenever you fall down pick something up = wisdom
    Good quotes:
A mistake repeated more than once is a decision. Paulo Coelho (Alchemist)
Put a good performer in a bad system, and the system wins every time.
Geary A. Rummler: get kids in the environment that gives them the best chance to succeed, learn, be nurtured & loved
If you’re looking for closure, the lack of respect was the closure. The lack of an apology was the closure. The lack of care, accountability and honesty, that was the closure; sometimes you need to be honest with yourself & leave bad relationships
Everyone in your life is meant to be in your journey, but not all of them are meant to stay until the end. Let people go!
You can forgive people without welcoming them back into your life. Apology accepted, access denied! Forgiveness is for you to let go of any (-) feelings you have
Not everyone likes me, but not everyone matters: surround yourself with (+) people who love & care about you; let the others be
Never give your negative self-talk a ride because it will always want the reins: it can take you over & overwhelm you, recognize it when it pops up, learn to let it go/switch it
Bees don’t waste their time explaining to flies why honey is better than shit: some people just won’t get you or understand your decisions & life path; they are not you & it’s not their path & that’s ok, don’t judge them, recognize they are trying to help but keep trusting yourself
Of course, life is a bitch. If it was a slut, it would be easy.
