    Things are certainly heating up in the pinball market, and it’snot just because summer’s here. With hot new game launches, tons of sizzling code updates, some fiery new marketing ideas and even a tropical pinball cruise, make sure you join Jonathan and Martin for the latest June 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

    After months of teases, Jersey Jack Pinball’s long-rumoured Sonic the Hedgehog game finally launched on Sonic’s 35th birthday. A packed two-level playfield incorporates some truly innovative ideas, while the three model range tops out with Sonic battling Doctor Eggman above the Collector’s Edition’s backbox.

    After announcing last month that their next remake gamewould be Tales of the Arabian Nights, Pedretti Gaming revealed the game this month, with Legacy and 30th Anniversary editions offering a choice of artwork packages and powder coat finishes. In addition to the classic ruleset, there’s new enhanced code to increase the challenge to Battle the Genie, while the company has taken the opportunity to bolster their US support operations.

    After frustration from potential buyers at Winchester Mystery House selling out so quickly, Barrels of Fun have launched a new programme to give paid subscribers an extra week to get on-board future releases.

    There are other perks to their Barrels Reserve scheme too, including the opportunity to board a cruise ship for a six-night Pinball at Sea experience. Find out what is involved to make sure you don’t miss the boat.

    There are several job openings to report this month, including one organising Stern’s presence at trade and consumer shows, another designing games for American Pinball, or maybe simply building them on the production line. After all, everyone in pinball had to start somewhere.

    There are numerous code updates across multiple manufacturers, including the mass roll out of new system software for Stern Spike machines as predicted in last month’s PINcast. There is also news of shows taking place this weekend, and even late breaking news for Jaws pinball owners with a special 4th July Revenge mode now available.

    There’s a strong sense of déjà vu this month as three familiar pinball titles return in new forms, as Jonathan and Martin reveal in the latest May 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

    It was fifteen years ago that Stern Pinball released their first Transformers-based title, but the Autobots and Decepticons have returned in the new Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye game. Martin got the opportunity to play it at a trade event in London and to also talk to Gary Stern and John Buscaglia from Stern Pinball, as the company looks to cut prices and boost sales through changes to their European distribution arrangements.

    From one cartoon series to another, as Wonderland Amusement bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to pinball with the opening of preorders for their World of TMNT: Battle in the Sewer. There are two versions available and discounts for buyers of the company’s first release, along with news of game features and estimated shipping dates.

    The third title making a return comes from Pedretti Gaming as they confirm Tales of the Arabian Nights as their next remake game. There’s also news of another remake title they were developing before that particular project ran into problems.

    Martin also visited the first Austrian Pinball Festival where, besides hosting a prize quiz, he also recorded talks given by Harry Potter designer, Eric Meunier, Hexa Pinball’s Alice Lemoine, and homebrew evangelists Aaron Davis of FAST Pinball and Brian Savage of Mission Pinball Framework fame.     May was also the month for the Licensing Expo show in Las Vegas, where representatives from several pinball companies could be found exploring potential new game themes.

    After all the excitement of new game launches last month, things were a little more sedate in April. So, join Jonathan and Martin as they take a gentle stroll through the events from the pinball world in the latest Pinball Industry News PINcast.


    It’s been thirteen years since music and sound maestro Chris Granner created an audio package for a new pinball, but now he’s back to work on Turner Pinball’s latest Yukon Yeti game alongside Adam Grubman.


    Although not an entirely new game, Cardona Pinball have released their 2.0 upgrade kit for the classic Fish Tales machine. Ultimate Fishing Challenge adds new rules, backbox and playfield LCD panels, new sounds, new displays and new translite art.


    Stern Pinball’s latest sponsorship is no joke. In fact it’s a whole weekend of them, as the company sends a team to Florida’s Key West for the Q-West2 comedy festival where they are a ‘lifestyle sponsor’. A local bar was populated with Stern’s latest games and high score tournaments held on Insider Connected along with a unique achievement badge for players.


    While it never made it to the Texas Pinball Festival, Hexa Pinball have been touring their new The Three Musketeers around European shows as well as in the US. Find out where you can catch it next.


    Jersey Jack Pinball have teamed up with the Broadway staging of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child where movie actor Tom Felton is reprising his role of Draco Malfoy. There’s a special Harry Potter game backstage for the cast to play, as Felton discovers in a new promo video.
