I've recently become the steward of a beautiful 2014 Com-Pac Yachts Horizon Day Cat catboat, S/V The Bobbasina. I need to learn all that I can about how to go about moving from sailing sloops to catboats, so I reached out to two of my good friends, Skipper Al Santini and Skipper Ken Johansen, about their own personal journeys of going from sailing their former sloops to their current catboats, a Com-Pac Yachts Horizon Cat (Skipper Al!) and Com-Pac Yachts Sun Cat (Skipper Ken!). Ken and Al talk about the reasons why they decided to get into catboats, the “catboat vibe,” their catboat rigs, how catboats sail, what they love about catboats, and a ton more!
