They are a local nonprofit organization in Newton, Massachusetts, that collects and redistributes like-new household items to hundreds of people in need each month with no fees, no forms, and no requirements.

The Second Step provides free, trauma-informed services for survivors of domestic violence throughout Greater Boston and beyond. They are dedicated to ending the cycle of abuse with our wraparound support, including safety planning, legal services, housing stabilization, support groups, and community education.

Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive—at home, at school, and at play.

Their core philosophy is "Quality = Dignity," meaning they emphasize providing items that are new or in like-new condition so that children feel valued rather than "second-class."
