  • Second Trimester Thoughts (Part Two)
    Aug 14 2026

In part two of her second trimester recap, Sarah talks about all the appointments of the second trimester, including what to expect at your anatomy scan. For her, this meant finding a low-lying and oddly shaped placenta, and what that could mean later.

She discusses having a doula, attending prenatal yoga, and how pregnancy really prepares you to have plan A, B, C for anything that could come. Some people wrote in with things they were worried about prior to having a baby, and if they were right to worry about them, so we end with that and some advice!

  • Second Trimester Thoughts
    Jul 31 2026

This episode is just one big rant session by Sarah, all about the second trimester. When to announce, things that are irritating to hear, asking for what you want in terms of help and support, body changes, and surprising symptoms.

Fun fact: we learn how the random fruit and vegetable comparisons work when it comes to babys growth.

Once again she discusses how pregnancy prepares you for birth and parenting as you learn to cope with hormones, overstimulation, and the importance of a good partner.

  • SucSeeding with Emily
    Apr 27 2026

In this episode, Emily shares how her plans of leaving Newfoundland for somewhere like Wall Street evolved when she became CEO of Sucseed, a social enterprise venture formed in Enactus, at Memorial University. She talks about the real issue of food insecurity and how her family’s farming roots led her in that direction. She also talks about her positions with CIBC, the Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship, and on various boards (most of which are in male-dominated industries)

She gives some wisdom on starting a business, visiting 30 countries before 30, and experiencing life in developing countries. She also talks about her experience at speed dating, how she used to approach dating and how it has changed, and what she learned from seeing friends in the wrong relationships.

Also talking about women being financially in dependent and how “relationship capital is more valuable than financial capital ever will be”, and how success in all aspects of life can be measured by the simple question of do you love what you spend your time doing?
