    So often, we speak on autopilot — out of habit, frustration, or fear — and end up saying things we don’t actually want to experience. And if you don’t want something in your life, you have to stop letting those words come out of your mouth.

    We’ll talk about how language creates belief, how belief shapes behavior, and why your life slowly moves in the direction of the words you repeat. I also dive into the way we talk about health and aging — the phrases we casually say like “I’m getting old” or “I’m always sick” — and how those words quietly become identity if we’re not paying attention.

    This episode is about choosing words that align with who you’re becoming, not who you’ve been — and learning how to be honest without speaking defeat over your future.

    To start the new year, I ran a 5K in 32-degree weather in the cold, windy mountains of Asheville, North Carolina — surrounded by nearly a thousand runners of all ages, all paces, all with different reasons for showing up.

    Some running the 5K.
    Some pushing for the 10K.
    Some confident.
    Some nervous.
    All of us there to finish.

    As we waited at the start line, the announcer said:

    “There’s nothing to it… but to just do it.”

    And I froze — because “Just do it” was already my theme for the year. It had been showing up in my journaling, my thoughts, and the quiet reminders I’d been giving myself about taking action and moving forward.

    Hearing it spoken out loud felt like alignment — like confirmation that sometimes you can plan and prepare… but eventually, you have to move your feet and begin.

    In this episode, I’m sharing what that race reminded me about courage, momentum, honoring your own pace, and taking the next step even when it feels uncomfortable.

    This year isn’t about perfect conditions.
    It’s about forward motion.
