The United States of America turns 250 this year and for 250 years, it's been a beacon of liberty. It was exceptional at its founding and, through it's guaranteed rights, provided a place where a person could succeed no matter who their family was and without having to ask permission. America is not perfect and there are some who would ignore the "unalianable right" described in the Declaration of Independence and guaranteed by the Constitution to further their own ambitions. Despite all that, I love America! Here's to 250 years of liberty!

As an aging gamer, I have come to the realization that my taste in games has changed. I started with shooters (Doom, Dark Forces), combat flight sims (X-Wing, F-117, & F14 Tomcat), and sports games. These days, all of those have given way to Minecraft, Terraria, and story-based games like Horizon: Zero Dawn. And that's okay!
