The Midlife Upgrade is for women over 40 who are ready to stop going through the motions and start intentionally building the next version of their lives.

Because somewhere in midlife, the questions start changing.

How do I want to feel in my body?

Who am I now that my kids need me differently?

What do I want my relationships to look like?

Am I happy with the way I'm spending my time—and my money?

What do I want the next 10, 20 or 30 years of my life to look like?

And maybe the biggest question:

What needs an upgrade?

I'm Michelle Bazinet, Midlife Health and Transformation Coach, and my own midlife upgrade started with my health. After gaining weight in my 40s and realizing the old diet-and-exercise strategies I'd relied on for decades weren't working anymore,

I started rebuilding the way I took care of myself.

That journey eventually became about upgrading what I call my Health Operating System— by taking a practical approach to strength training, muscle, nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, mindset and sustainable habits.

But here's what I've learned:

When you start changing the way you take care of yourself, you often start looking differently at the rest of your life too.

Your relationships.

Your finances.

Your career.

Parenting adult or growing children.

Your confidence.

Your boundaries.

Your time.

Your home.

Your identity.

Your future.

That's what The Midlife Upgrade is about.

We'll still have real conversations about perimenopause, menopause, weight loss after 40, strength training, building muscle, protein, metabolism, nutrition and creating a healthier lifestyle.

But we'll also go beyond health.

I'll share what I'm learning, what I'm questioning and what I'm upgrading in my own life—and bring in conversations and experts to help us think differently about the areas of life that matter as we get older.

This isn't about blowing up your life and starting over.

Actually, it's the opposite.

It's about taking an honest look at what's working, what's not, what you want to keep and what you're ready to change.

Because an upgrade doesn't mean starting over. It means building on what you've already learned.

You don't need to have midlife figured out.

Neither do I.

But we can keep learning.

Keep getting stronger.

Keep making intentional choices.

Keep collecting evidence.

And keep becoming the women we want to be for the decades ahead.

We're not done becoming.

  • I Didn’t Podcast Perfectly for 4 Years. I Continued for 4 Years. | 100 Episodes Later
    Oct 7 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Last week, I published my 100th podcast episode.

And I almost didn’t celebrate it.

Because instead of thinking, “Wow. I created 100 episodes,” my brain immediately went to:

    “It took you FOUR YEARS.”

There were months when I was consistent with this podcast…and months when I completely disappeared.

    I started. I stopped. I came back.

    More than once.

And for a moment, I saw that as evidence that I hadn’t been consistent enough.

    Until I realized something:

I didn’t podcast perfectly for four years. I continued for four years.

In this episode, I’m taking you back to October 1, 2022, when I recorded my very first episode of a little podcast called Laughable Habits.

I’m sharing how that idea evolved into Midlife Magic, how an empty canvas became a coaching business, membership, programs and Health Operating System™—and why the podcast is evolving again into The Midlife Upgrade.

But more importantly, we’re talking about the evidence we often refuse to give ourselves credit for.

The workouts you came back to.

The habits you picked up again.

    The promises you eventually kept.

The things you continued even though you didn't do them perfectly.

Because consistency doesn't mean you never stop.

It means stopping doesn't get to become the end of your story.

As I begin the journey from episode 101 to 200, I’m inviting you along for the next chapter.

Health. Strength. Relationships. Parenting. Finances. Confidence. Identity. And what it really looks like to upgrade your life in midlife.

    Your action after this episode:

Think of one thing you’ve been discounting because you didn’t do it perfectly.

Then collect the evidence of how many times you came back.

    You’re not starting over.

You’re becoming a woman who continues.

    Here’s to the next 100. ❤️

  • The Stories We Tell Ourselves (And What Happens When We Question Them)
    Sep 29 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

“I’m not a morning person.” “I eat healthy, so why am I gaining weight?” “My best years are behind me.”

A story can feel like a fact when you’ve repeated it for years. In this episode, Michelle shares five stories she once believed about workouts, weight gain, exercise and midlife—and what changed when she looked at the evidence.

You’ll hear how a 5:15 a.m. gym routine became her most consistent one, why eating healthy wasn’t the whole picture for her, and the question that changed how she thinks about reaching a goal: What version of this could I see myself continuing?

Michelle closes with four questions to help you examine a story of your own and one small action you can take to test a more useful one.

What story have you been telling yourself that deserves a second look?

  • Why You Keep Starting Over — Even When You Know What to Do
    Sep 22 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

You already know protein matters. You know you need to move your body. You know strength training is important. You probably know more about weight loss and healthy eating than you give yourself credit for.

So why do you keep finding yourself saying, “I'll start again Monday”?

In this episode of the Midlife Upgrade Podcast, we're talking about why so many women become really good at starting—but never learn the skill of continuing.

We'll talk about why following a plan isn't the same as learning how to live it, why consistency doesn't mean doing the same amount all the time, why the boring stuff is often where the real results happen, and what to do when life inevitably gets in the way.

You'll also learn about The Continue Method and one simple question that can completely change what happens the next time you feel like you've fallen “off track”:

    What can I continue today?

Because your next transformation might not come from finding another plan you can follow perfectly.

It might come from learning how to keep going when you can't.
