Superstitions always make for some great story telling. Some are made up, some we think we can trace back, and many are what my grandma used to pass down. Those are my favorites. Who knew poop was good luck? 

Who knew that sugar was a status symbol? And wallpaper was ugly? I mean, toxic (and ugly!). From household items, to flying critters, another episode of some great fun facts. Some a little grosser than others, but it can't all be butterflies and rainbows. 

Thomas Crapper may have invented the toilet, but his namesake was old news by then.  And the "brassiere"? Not invented by Otto Titsling. Men designing bras is bad news. But on the bright side, MSG doesn't deserve the bad rap it earned in the 80's. 

Expressions, euphemisms or idioms? Aren't they all the same? Nope! Some are morbid, and others are morbider.  Ever wonder where the famous sayings like "Kick the Bucket" came from? Or "Riding Shotgun?" Might not be exactly what you thought.   Pay no attention to any political undertones. (He made me say that!) 

Wait, who invented the folding chess board? And what were the Mr. Potato creators thinking!? This and much more in this week's episode of Know it All. And a humbling retraction, sometimes you just have to admit when he's wrong, sorry, when WE are wrong.

Fun facts and random stuff have a lot in common, they are often "facts" that are easy to forget, OR they are stuck with you forever. Like an ear worm. Gary knows a lot about a lot, and Kristi tends to forget the minute he tells her. Listen in on the banter that occurs when a husband and wife don't always see eye to eye on the randomness.
