What we eat matters! But sometimes it can be tricky to figure out a healthy balance, what exactly to eat, and how we can reach certain goals with our food. There are a lot of things that could happen during a practice or sporting event for student athletes. Enter: The athletic trainer. Sara works in the high school setting working with student athletes by assessing their injuries, providing treatment, referrals, and support. She gets to build relationships with the student athletes, offering education about injury prevention and just staying healthy overall. This niche area of health care is a great blend of skills that offers a lot of variation in the day to day.
