Intimacy is a common ground for artists to develop and share practice-based research through the live performance of radio. From audio essays to abstract experiments, each show approaches the philosophy of sound and listening, and their intersection with relevant contextual themes.

Intimacy is Initiated by artist Elliot Buchanan, the show alternates between personal investigations and guest offerings to create a community around sound-centred arts practices.

    London based artist Harry Smithson shares a collection of sound works created over the last few years. Made using a variety of homemade and modified instruments and techniques, the hour features sounds created by dissolving sculptures, a two piece suit modified into an electronic instrument, homemade Hurdy Gurdy’s, spinning speakers and a DIY modular synthesiser.
