  • S2:E4 Dr. Angela F***ING Davis
    May 12 2026

I’m still pinching myself that I got to interview Dr. Angela Y Davis. What an incredible honor. This interview originally aired back in 2020 when I was part of a collective called the Prison Music Project and we were releasing an album of songs written by and with men who were incarcerated, called Long Time Gone (on all the streaming apps).

So much of what Dr. Davis says in the interview is still (or even more) relevant in 2026. We are blessed to have her in our timeline.

To find a list of her books, visit her page on GoodReads

Fun bonus fact: I transitioned to veganism in early 2025 and very shortly after that, I learned that Dr. Angela Davis is a long-time vegan. No exploitation for anyone. (It’s ok if you’re not vegan yet… I was there too, once.)

  • S2:E2 What is Restorative Justice, really?
    Apr 28 2026

On this show, we talk about different forms of justice outside the criminal legal system. The one most commonly talked about on the show is Restorative Justice. I had the honor of speaking with three people who are knowledgeable on the topic, including Howard Zehr, who is considered one of the people who introduced it in the 1970’s (though is has indigenous roots and existed long before).

Howard Zehr wrote a book called The Little Book of Restorative Justice, among many others. To learn more about his books, visit his author page on GoodReads.

To learn more about Samual Brown’s work, visit the website of his project, the 10P Program

If you want to learn more about Lauren Trout (they/them)… too bad. They asked not to be linked because they are focusing on the physical world and their immediate community.
