Have you ever found yourself trying to figure out who the hell you are? Do you look at everyone else and think, “How do they know themselves so well?!"

My name is Tom Bainbridge, and once upon a time, I went through a massive identity crisis. I had no idea who the hell I was. I mean, sure, I'm a gay boy, a guy working in radio, a massive bitch, but I didn't feel like any of these things defined me (except maybe the bitch part). So I tried to fix it by making a podcast where I talk to people who I think have their shit together. And the weird thing was, after talking to just four people, it worked! By discovering others, I discovered myself.

    With help from

    • Comedian and Performer Reuben Kaye
    • Renowned Chef Khanh Ong
    • Drag Superstar Art Simone
    • and Introducing Artist BabyDilfX

Over the course of six episodes, I'm going to help you figure out your identity. It's part podcast, part therapy, without the need for a mental health care plan. Let me help you figure out, “Who the Hell Are You?!”

  • Reuben Kaye: F**k Up to Find Yourself
    Jan 31 2026
"I think it's one of the most intimate podcasts I've done... and I've done a lot of podcasts!"

Cabaret comedy sensation Reuben Kaye like you've never heard before. What makes Reuben tick? How did Reuben find his quick wit? And what rude joke made Reuben have to change Kindergartens?

Reuben tells us how to fuck up to find ourselves and how to deal with people who stand in our way. A story of resilience, finding your power and discovering your voice.

"How do you find yourself? By fucking up, by getting on stage and be like, nope, that's not right. Nope, that's not right. This isn't right. And again, it's a thing of like, I define myself by what I'm not first before, cause everyone else will tell you what the hell you are, before you have a chance to figure it out, it happened to us as queer people for sure. You get called a f****t before you know you are. So why bother trying to find out who you are? It'll come to you. And eventually you'll look in a mirror after years and years and go, oh, there you are. Oh, I built this myself without even thinking."

  • BabyDilfX: The Gloryhole of Freedom
    Feb 1 2026

Artist and Porn Star BabyDilfX reveals how building a glory hole in their apartment led to them finding out more about their identity. So how the hell do you go from welcoming straight men into your apartment (to help them get off), to being featured in an internationally renowned art gallery? How do you find so much insight in such an anonymous sexual act? And what does any of this have to do with finding yourself?

A highlight in the series, this truly enlightening and engrossing interview with Emil reveals so much about personal identity in both the queer and straight world.

"I didn’t realise that the more you lean in and become more open to yourself and if you accept that the world actually embraces you for it."

Please note that this episode contains descriptions of sex in a graphic form. If you're usually offended by that, it may not be for you. However I implore you to listen with intrigue and remember that art is supposed to challenge you sometimes. The insights Emil reveals are nothing short of extraordinary.

  • Khanh Ong: Cooking from the Heart
    Feb 2 2026

You've seen Khanh Ong on Masterchef, on Survivor and making lunch boxes on TikTok, but have you heard about how his parents were shot at by pirates while trying to come to Australia as refugees?!

Why should you prioritise yourself? Why shouldn't I ask Khanh what he thinks of me? And why the hell was he crying at Matt Preston over some mushrooms? Renowned Chef Khanh (and one of my old school mates) tells us how to operate from the heart, how to find the things that make you happy and why he chooses the times he cries (which is usually on a plane).

"People like you or they don’t, there’s nothing you can do right? Because if they don’t like you, they’ve already decided not to like you."

    Feb 3 2026

Drag Superstar Art Simone intimately shares her introduction to drag, her first ever drag name and the road to Ru Paul's Drag Race.

Why was wasting water so important to her drag? Why did she have to store her Drag gear in a sex room? Does being a drag queen mean you have multiple identities? Is there a drag queen fetish?

As I get closer and closer to discovering the secret of finding your identity, Art Simone puts the final piece of the puzzle into place.

"I don’t think you ever find who you are though, and it keeps changing."

  • Art Simone: Don't Force It
    Feb 4 2026

Art Simone reveals what really went down on Ru Paul's Drag Race Season One. She was eliminated then put back on the show, then the fans turned on her.

What was edited out of her exit interview? What led her to say "that means nothing"? And what did she say to Ru Paul as she was leaving the show?

"I don’t think it’s something that you can force to happen though. Like you are already who you are. You don’t need to label anything."

Art is the final interview in this series, and it's the one that made me stop making the podcast. Art says something that makes this whole identity crisis, sort itself out...
