Every Halloween, Luna sits at her kitchen table with an old advent-style calendar—31 small doors, each hiding a tiny image that grows more disturbing as the month unfolds. For each door she opens, she tells a self-contained story inspired by that day's symbol: a cracked bell tolling for a forgotten village, a black candle that refuses to burn out, a child's drawing of a door that shouldn't exist. These are not ghost tales in the usual sense—they are fables of seasonal dread, where autumn leaves hide hungry things, and the boundary between costume and skin blurs. From the creaking of a porch swing that swings on its own to the recipe for a pie that feeds more than the living, every episode stands alone, yet each shares the same hushed, candlelit tone—as if the stories are being whispered to you alone, in the dark, with only the flicker of a jack-o'-lantern for light. Luna's voice guides you through a month of small horrors, each one a door you might think twice about opening. The calendar has thirty-one doors. Some should never be opened at all.

  • The Register at the Copper Creek Hotel — Fexingo Horror
    May 7 2026
October 1987. A three-story motel outside Elko, Nevada, where the neon sign has been dark for fifteen years but a light still burns in room seven. Luna's great-aunt managed the Copper Creek Hotel in its final season—the autumn every guest checked in but never checked out. This is the story of what she found in the register, the woman in the yellow raincoat who arrived every night at 11:47, and the single rule her aunt left behind: never open the door after midnight. A quiet, drifting tale about the places that keep count long after everyone has gone.

  • The Carousel at Thornwood Fairgrounds — Fexingo Horror
    May 6 2026
In the autumn of 2019, Luna visits the abandoned Thornwood Fairgrounds on the outskirts of Millbrook, Indiana, following a story about the carousel that disappeared overnight in 1987. The carousel's hand-carved horses were said to have been haunted by the children who died in a fire that gutted the ride's motor house. Luna finds the fairgrounds overgrown, the carousel gone—but in the dirt where it once stood, she discovers something that suggests the carousel never truly left. This episode is a quiet meditation on grief, memory, and the places where they intersect. No jump scares. No gore. Just a lonely night, a full moon, and a hollow melody that might be the wind.

  • The Jack-o'-Lantern Man of Denton Road — Fexingo Horror
    May 5 2026
Halloween night, 1998. I was driving home from my parents' house on Denton Road, a winding two-lane cut through the woods outside of Millbrook, New York. The road was empty—no other cars, no porch lights, just the occasional carved pumpkin flickering from a distant farmhouse. I'd seen the same stretch a hundred times, but that night something felt off. A man stood on the shoulder near the old Denton Bridge, holding a single lit jack-o'-lantern. He didn't move. He didn't blink. I slowed down, and the pumpkin's grin seemed to widen as I passed. Over the next few years, I heard stories: a drifter who'd disappeared in the nineties, a string of missing hikers, a photo found in a gas station—a jack-o'-lantern with human teeth. This episode is about what I saw, and what I didn't want to see.
