Get yourself a cup of tea and join us.

Angela is a Canadian with a background in engineering who’s worked around the world and now publishes books and shares her approach to ‘Relaxed Productivity’.

John is a Welsh artist who now lives in Ireland, after 30 years as a performer, director, improvisor and teacher. He specialises in creativity, overcoming anxiety and developing presence & focus.

‘Humanitea’ is conversations between the two of us, and sometimes invited guests. We talk about keeping it real in an age of bullshit and bluster. Though we've not much in common, we've discovered we’ve got a hell of a lot in common.

We talk about keeping it authentic and honest, as we navigate the complexity and overwhelm of the modern world.

Together we set up School of Human Kind (www.schoolofhumankind.com) - an international network of coaches, thinkers, teachers, writers and others assorted humans.

We believe totally in the power of conversation, connection and kindness.

Come join us as we explore how to keep all three alive in this crazy world.

  • Humanitea Episode 3: How to Find Balance
    Jul 8 2026

Angela and John confront that age old problem - at least in the industrialised world - of how to maintain balance. There are so many demands on our time - work, family, health, sleep, saving, relaxing, studying...... There's some who will tell you the secret is to put everything into your diary, then stick to your schedule. Others say it's all down to having a good to-do list. Then there's the attractive idea of not worrying too much and just going with the flow....... How do any of these ideas stack up? Angela and John don't really subscribe to any of them. We draw on many decades of just getting on with it, sometimes falling out of balance, always getting back in again..... And we do it all over a cup of fine tea.

  • Humanitea Episode 2: What is Authenticity? How to keep it real when you don't know what 'real' is.
    Jun 30 2026

This week we're talking about 'authenticity'. It's become a word that doesn't have much meaning - so overused by people trying to sell coaching or self- help programmes that we can come to doubt that anything is authentic. AI isn't helping either.

So what do we mean by it? And how do we try to live 'authentically' if we're not even sure what the word means?
