Why does reading the Bible actually matter—and why reading the Bible matters so deeply for the Christian life?

In this episode of the Healthy & Redeemed Podcast, we begin a two part series on Bible reading by focusing on the why behind it all. This isn’t about guilt, pressure, or checking a spiritual box. It’s about understanding why Scripture is essential—not optional—for our spiritual, emotional, and mental health.

Together, we explore what the Bible truly is: God’s voice to His children. We will share research showing how consistent engagement with Scripture profoundly affects behavior, growth, and daily life. Hopefully, this episode will help you see the importance of engaging with God's Word daily and consistently!

  • 63. THE Christmas Story: A Scripture Reading for the Season
    Dec 23 2025

In this episode of the Healthy and Redeemed podcast, we read the Christmas story from scripture, highlighting three Old Testament prophecies about Jesus, the announcement to Mary, the birth of Jesus, the shepherds' encounter, and the visit of the Magi. The reading emphasizes the significance of Jesus' birth and the gift of redemption that he brings to humanity. What a wonderful way to remember the reason for Christmas.
