Happy start of October!!! Join us this week as we discuss the 2018 Japanese revenge flick Liverleaf. Tune in for teenage angst, killer kids, and enough blood to make Quentin Tarantino’s toe-licking-self blush. It’s going to be a blast. We also welcome some super-special time travellers with important October movie updates from the future.

If someone tells you to stay away from the creepy pathway though the woods, you best listen! The Gem Hunt crew takes a trip across the pond for a very British horror flick: The Appointment from 1982. We break down the history, rediscovery, and restoration of this once lost film, and get deep in the weeds discussing the Freudian family drama at the heart of the story. Stick around for a big ol’ preview of what we have planned for October.

If you’re reading this and/or gearing up to listen, we suggest chanting the following phrase in your bathroom mirror three times: ‘rectum? I hardly knew him!!’ Or in other words, Cody has successfully survived the big surgery! But enough life or death stuff, let’s talk life or death stuff! This week on Gem Hunt, the Dirt Dog family goes to town on a newer offering- the Mexican film Disappear Completely ( 2022). Will crime scene photographer Santiago survive a sense-stealing curse? Does the dog die? Does anyone even care? and of course we find time to chat a bit about Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. Join us (or whatever), as we keep rambling along..
