In this episode, I Interview Davinder a victim support worker and an outreach liaison at the surrey women's shelter. we discuss at length her childhood back in Punjab including the cultural traditions of that era while also speaking in depth about the core values that she learned from her parents. In addition, she speaks about the experience of immigrating to Canada during the first recent flux of Sikh Punjabi immigrants. Davinder also speak about her career path in social work and the key figures that were inspirations along the way.

On This episode, I get a chance to Interview Oliver who is the other co-owner of 2ND Degree Vintage. Oliver starts off the episode by sharing his childhood in Hawaii where he first encounters the concept of reselling second-hand clothing. we also talk about his ties to his Japanese heritage which he gets from his mother who immigrated to America in her 20s. As the episode progresses we dive deeper into Oliver's time at Uvic while he pursued a pre-med degree in Chem. Finally, He shares the career-altering decision of venturing into Clothes reselling Full time.

We talk about Mr. Randhawa's Childhood living in Vancouver and about his parents who had a heavy hand in his curiosity for learning. As the conversation progresses we heavily focus on his journey as a Teacher and the things he's learned about the education system and the world throughout those years. Throughout the episode, Mr. Randhawa makes a clear connection between his life experience and the colonialist frameworks of Canada in the education system.
