On this episode of Fortified Follower, Mackenzie shares about the testimony she is walking through right now. She gets emotional on how hard it's been in this season with the stripping, pruning and stretching. She shares some of what the Lord has been revealing to her and how He has called her to consecration. The changes are not seasonal changes but lifestyle changes. We hear how God shows up as sustainer in this season. Providing her with the strength she needs to continue even when she feels like giving up. The testimony of keeping the faith and depending on God as sustainer in the hard seasons.

On this episode of Fortified Follower, we are going back to 2019. A story of a go-kart accident with Mackenzie and her dad. A crazy accident showing God's protection in the midst of it. Both had physical breaks, which lead to a season of wondering if there would ever be full restoration. It was a long season turned into a testimony of God's healing power. The Lord desires to reveal Himself as Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. He is still a miracle working God. He still heals, saves, and protects. He does it all!Season 2: Testimony TuesdaysRevelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.Thank you for being here! Can God use something as simple as Pilates socks? In this episode we see God's faithfulness even in the seemingly "little" testimonies. The Lord reveals how He is provider of all things. He proves it through an $8.50 pair of Pilates socks.

The Lord desires to reveal Himself as provider in our lives. To see the hand of God, we must walk in obedience to allow Him to provide for us in the way He desires. We must be good stewards of what He entrusts to us. We must remember that to whom much is given, much is required.

In this episode of Fortified Follower, we explore the year of the Lord’s favor by examining the prophecy Jesus fulfilled from Isaiah 61:1–2, as recorded in Luke 4:18–19. Jesus declared His mission clearly: to preach the Good News and bring freedom. We also look at those Jesus sent out during His ministry on earth—specifically the twelve disciples and the seventy-two (Luke 9 and 10). He commissioned them to do what He was doing: sharing the Gospel and bringing freedom through healing. Together, we discuss the spiritual implications of the words Jesus spoke. But this mission didn’t end with Jesus or those He sent out then, it continues with us. We begin to understand that Jesus was not referring to a specific year, but to an ongoing reality of those who believe in Him. Whenever the Gospel is proclaimed and freedom is released in the name of Jesus, that is the Lord’s favor at work. The year of the Lord’s favor began with Jesus and continues through His followers. We have been commissioned. We are called to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor by doing the works Jesus did—and even greater. You are called. As followers of Jesus, this is our commission. We are being sent out with boldness and confidence. May the Lord’s favor rest upon you as you live out the year of the Lord’s favor.

In this episode of Fortified Follower, we explore the powerful prophecies fulfilled through the birth of Jesus and the earliest moments of His life, as recorded in the Gospel of Matthew and cross referenced throughout Scripture. Together, we trace how God’s ancient promises, spoken through prophets centuries before, find their fulfillment in the arrival of Christ.

Beginning with the fulfillment of the virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:22–37), we then journey to Bethlehem, to unfold the prophesy of a ruler coming from Bethlehem (Matthew 2:6; Micah 5:2; Luke 2:1–7). We follow the story to Egypt where Jesus is called out of Egypt as God’s Son, while also taking a look at the foreshadowing that took place with Israel in Exodus (Matthew 2:15; Hosea 11:1; Exodus 4:22; Matthew 2:13–15, 19–21), to then see how Jesus arrives at Nazareth (Matthew 2:23; Isaiah 11:1).

We also highlight God’s covenant with David - that he would have offspring on the throne forever (Luke 1:32; 2 Samuel 7:4–5, 12; Psalm 89:3–4; 132:11–12; Jeremiah 33:17; Luke 1:69).

The fulfilled prophecies remind us that Jesus is truly the promised Savior, that God is sovereign and intentional in all things and that He had a plan to reconcile us back to Him all along. Jesus was born to take away our sins and the sins of the world. He is the joy of our salvation, our hope for eternity, and the testament that God always keeps His promises.

As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let us always remember that His life reminds us of the greatest gift of all time, the gift of salvation that we receive when we accept Him.

Praying you have a blessed Christmas and soak in the presence of the Savior.

In this episode of Fortified Follower, we explore the role insecurities play in keeping us from stepping into the assignments God calls us to. Focusing on a portion of Moses’ story in Exodus, we discuss how he questioned his abilities and allowed his insecurities to shape his reluctant response to God’s call. We also examine God’s patient and purposeful replies, and reflect on the ways we, like Moses, sometimes wrestle with insecurities as we consider our own responses to the Lord’s leading.
