• 2025 Wild Card Week Roundup 1-16-25
    Jan 16 2026

Wild Card weekend! We're breaking down all the games, especially the Houston Texans' win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chicago bested Green Bay, San Francisco beat the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, LA Rams won over Carolina. Buffalo beat Jacksonville and New England beat The LA Chargers.

Also, surprising coaching hot seats, and how "Black Monday" and "Black Tuesday" shook up the NFL sidelines this year. Also, Aaron Rodgers' unexpected defense of HCs Mike Tomlin and Matt LaFleur and what that says about coaching trees and politics in the league, and why everyone in the coaching realm seems to be connected somehow.

The conversation shifts from the field to the booth, we debate whether Aaron Rodgers has the personality and polish for TV compared to Tom Brady's media makeover. Looking forward to the Division playoffs this weekend:

    NFC:
    Los Angeles at Chicago
    San Francisco at Seattle

    AFC:
    Houston at New England
    Buffalo at Denver

  • 2025 Week 18 Roundup 1-7-26
    Jan 7 2026

This week, we're diving into the NFL's wild coaching carousel, unpacking Black Sunday, Black Monday, and now a shocking Black Tuesday that sent longtime Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh packing after 18 seasons. From the Atlanta Falcons' controversial Kirk Cousins/Michael Penix Jr. gamble to the Arizona Cardinals' decision to move on from HC Jonathan Gannon and what that really says about Kyler Murray's future, they break down all seven head coach vacancies and which all but one GM somehow survived the bloodbath.

We also run through every division to sort out who's safe, who's on the bubble, and which franchises are stuck in deeper, owner-level dysfunction (hello, Raiders and Commanders). Plus the ongoing debate whether Zac Taylor should be the real target of Black Wednesday in Cincinnati, why Kevin Stefanski's ouster in Cleveland felt inevitable, and how much blame defenses like Detroit's should carry when seasons go sideways. There's plenty of laughs about cursed stadiums, aging coaches, and "one bad season" overreactions.

  • 2025 Week 12 Roundup 11-26-25
    Nov 26 2025

Amanda and John dive into a wild Week 12, calling it the strangest week yet with three overtime thrillers, a bunch of games decided by a single field goal, and the Rams suddenly looking like the NFC's team to beat at 9-2 after battering a banged‑up Buccaneers squad and knocking Baker Mayfield out with a shoulder sprain. They break down the Eagles' blown 21–0 lead to the Cowboys, what it means for A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and why Amanda thinks Philly's defense, not the offense, is the real issue if they want another Super Bowl run.

From there, they get into the 49ers' messy but crucial Monday night win over the Panthers despite Brock Purdy's three interceptions, praising Christian McCaffrey, a patched‑together Robert Saleh defense, and some clutch playmaking that kept San Francisco at 8-4 and tied atop Monday Night Football's all‑time wins list.

A spin around the AFC, talking hot Patriots and Broncos, red‑hot Ravens, a Texans team leaning on defense while C.J. Stroud rides out a slump, and why the Bills, Jags, Chargers and others may be living in wild‑card world by the time this chaotic season is done.

    Nov 19 2025

All we know is that this season of football has been as unpredicable as ever. Who would have thought that the Chiefs dynasty might come up short of the playoffs this season. Or that the Denver Broncos would be the number one seed int he AFC, after barely winning most of their games. About the only expected outcome thus season is the World Champ Eagles sitting pretty atop the NFC after week 11.

Brock Purdy suited up this week after missing half the 49er season with turf toe. Brock looked every bit as good as he ever has in a division matchup with Arizona.

If the season ended today, there'd be a lot of .500 teams in the playoffs. There are only 7 slots for each conference and may the best teams be in thetop 7 in 7 weeks.

A look at week 10 around the league. Specifically, things are changing at the mid-way post of the season. We talk the early game on Sunday in Berlin, the Thursday and Monday Night snorefests this week, and the ever changing NFC North, its that close.

The Bengals won this week becaue they were on a bye! And how weird is it that The Steelers are in first place in the AFC North and the Ravens are a game back, yet the probability of Pittsburgh making the playoffs are lower than Baltimores. We are calling the NFC West for either Seattle or LA, pending any injuries. This weeks standouts: Patriots, Seahawks, The Jets??? and of course The Colts.

We take a look at the power rankings, where Seattle sits in the Number one spot this week.
