Toby Schmitz is an actor, playwright, director, novelist and Food Bytes guest extraordinaire. Currently playing to packed houses across Australia in the production Art with Richard Roxburgh and Damon Herriman, Toby took time out from the Melbourne season to chat about his love of the theatre and his many very successful film and television roles, including the smash hit Boy Swallows Universe and his surprising pirate voice for the series Black Sails.

We discover his late night post-show wind down and the sweet treat that is his very guilty pleasure. For someone who isn't a kitchen whiz, Toby has some outstanding tips to share and a food combo that might surprise and delight.

Elvis is in the Food Bytes building, or at least Mark Andrew - hands-down the best Elvis tribute artist going around - is.

Mark is also a king of the kitchen, sharing his baked potato secret as well as some wise words on good health from his wife Lisa Curry AO, Olympian and a former Food Bytes guest. As well as taking us to Graceland for a peanut butter and jelly delight, Mark shares his vivid memories of his Maltese background, especially his grandma's special bread.

Stephanie Alexander AO is a national treasure, as is her famous book 'The Cook's Companion' (Penguin Books), which she has lovingly revised, renewed and released for its 30th anniversary.

Keeping things simple and anxiety-free is Stephanie's goal and she takes us through her love of cooking - which started at a very young age - and shares her thoughts on everything from TV cooking shows to air fryers.

Stephanie is passing on her passion for cooking through her other passion: The Kitchen Garden Foundation, which she founded to introduce kids to the garden and the kitchen.
