Back in 1882, a man by the name of Harley Procter sent a bar of what would become the Ivory soap that we know today to a chemist to see how pure it was. The chemist’s analysis revealed that the bar was 99.44% pure soap. The remaining 0.56% was determined to be a combination of other ingredients, one of which was actually dirt. 100% purity in our spiritual walk is nothing short of impossible to attain on our own. But once we are authentic with ourselves and with God, recognize that we can’t do it on our own, and surrender to the One who died in our place and masterfully created each one of us, then the purification can begin.
