If y'all have been keeping up with the last couple of episodes, y'all will know how much I've talked about how busy life feels right now. As I was on a prayer walk, I felt like the Lord reminded me that if I am too busy and preoccupied with all the busyness of life I will (and have) missed seeing the blessing He has sent me way.

In this episode, we are going to try be focusing on the blessing in life instead of the busyness.

Not to sound too creepy with this title, but it has dawned on me that we as Christians have so many opportunities to minister to people through our actions. We don't even have to talk to these people to share the love of Christ with others. We can simply shine the Light of Jesus Christ!

Today's episode won't look much like a regular FOF episode. The Lord has blessed me with so many things to keep busy with I didn't think I'd be able to get a chance to sit and record and episode. But the Lord made a way!

This episode is mostly me catching y'all up on what's been going on in my life lately and something spiritual I've learned through this busy time. We are truly going to be raw and real in this episode (very little editing) and talk about the things in life here recently!

Let’s be real. This is a very broken, messed up, and sinful world we live in and if you’re anything like me, sometimes that realization can be discouraging, heartbreaking, and even overwhelming. But in this episode, we are reading through scripture passages that remind us why we don’t have to give into that feeling of hopelessness. Why we can go through life having hope. And, equally as important, why we can go through hard times and struggle with that same hope.

Jesus Christ. He is the reason. Scripture says He is our living Hope. Our hope in Jesus Christ isn’t stagnant or fleeting. It’s not temporary. It is constant because Christ is constant! When we put our hope in Jesus, our Hope is everlasting.

And with that Hope, maybe we can cause an unbeliever to wonder how it is that we can go through hard times with so much hope and come out the other side with joy and thanksgiving. Maybe that causes them to want to find out more about our Christ.

So, as we go through hard times and struggles, let’s remember that our hope is not found in earthly things, but in our living God!

In today's episode, we get to see just how much we have to be grateful for! God has given us every reason to be content... yes, even when things are feeling overwhelming and uncertain. As it says in scripture, we can "Be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you'".

Even if that's "all", we have so much to be grateful for and content with because of Christ, because Christ died for us, because Christ loves us that much!

In today's episode, we talk about how to listen when the Lord speaks to us. We may often wonder why we can't hear the Lord speak when our Bibles are closed or when we won't take the time to be still and listen to His still small voice. We won't take the time to just sit and listen. We aren't being still and knowing the He is God.

We should be making our time with the Lord more involved. More intentional. More Christ focused and less us focused. We shouldn't just be going through the motions so we can check off the "I'm a Christian" box. We need to be getting in His word, seeking and listening for His voice. But Satan likes to make us think that that's not the case.

Something the Lord laid on my heart what just how easy He makes it for us to spend time with Him. All we have to do is call His name. That's it. He's right there every second of every day. It's just a matter of are we making time for Jesus throughout our day?

In this episode, I share what I've learned about just how hard Satan makes it seem to spend time with the Lord. But Just how incredibly easy the Lord makes it!

If you're like me, you might sometimes find yourself seeking man's approval. Seeking approval from things/people NOT God. Yeah, I fall into that same thing too.

Scripture tells us that if we are seeking man's approval, we aren't serving Christ. Guess who found herself not serving Christ... But the Lord is so gracious to remind me why I'm doing the things I'm doing and, more importantly, who I'm doing them for!
