    The final episode of the FIDE podcast series by Lilli Hahn and Michael Busse for the Year of the Woman in Chess features Judit Polgar, one of the most inspiring persons in chess, the strongest female chess player of all times, the only woman to have surpassed 2700 Elo and to be ranked in the top ten of all chess players. Nowadays, she is a commentator at some of the world’s top tournaments as well as an ambassador to have more females into chess and to use chess as a tool for education.

  • Shohreh Bayat: Chess had a big impact on my life

    Shohreh Bayat is a very versatile person that brings so many positive assets into the chess world. She is a strong player herself and carries the title of WFM. Additionally, she is an international arbiter for FIDE and works as an arbiter at some of the biggest and most important tournaments, such as the Woman’s World Chess Championship. She is also a female role model fighting for women’s rights in her country of origin, Iran. Shohreh is the guest on the November episode of the FIDE podcast in this series of interviews by Lilli Hahn and Michael Busse for the Year of the Woman in Chess.

  • Harika Dronavalli: I know that I did my best when it was needed

    Harika  Dronavalli carries the grandmaster title and has a current rating of 2507, placing her #12 in the women's ranking list. She won three bronze medals at the Women’s World Chess Championship, in 2012, 2015 and 2017. Her recent achievement was winning the bronze medal with the Indian women’s team at the Olympiad in their home country. As if not impressive enough on its own, Harika played in the Olympiad during her ninth month of pregnancy and gave birth to a baby girl just two weeks after. Harika is a guest on the new episode of the FIDE podcast series by Lilli Hahn and Michael Busse for the Year of the Woman in Chess.
