  • Lessons From Elijah Part II

    Lessons From Elijah Part II
    Nov 3 2026
In Part Two of our series "Lessons From Elijah" Bill uses Elijah as the main example of God's faithfulness and provision: ravens feeding him, provision with the widow of Zarephath, the Mount Carmel confrontation with Ahab and the prophets of Baal, God's fire consuming the soaked altar, and rain returning after seven reports of a small cloud. They emphasize that despite supernatural victories Elijah later "let his guard down" and fled Jezebel, warning listeners to stay grounded in Scripture. They connect this to John the Baptist in Luke 7, who questioned Jesus from prison and received Jesus' reply pointing to healings and a warning about offense. They teach that offense and unforgiveness are destructive but can be renounced simply by speaking forgiveness and asking the Holy Spirit to fill you. The episode closes with the prodigal son illustrating God's welcome without pre-cleaning and a salvation prayer and invitation to contact their ministry. Lessons From Elijah Part I
    Oct 27 2026
In Part One of our series "Lessons From Elijah" Bill starts the episode by encouraging listeners to study the Bible for themselves so they can discern truth, avoid twisted teachings, and be prepared for spiritual battles. He illustrates how easily Scripture can be misquoted—confusing Balaam with Balak, and misstating "money is the root of all evil" instead of "the love of money"—and urges personal verification in the Word. He discusses discipline in parenting, emphasizes not living in fear, and compares learning Scripture in advance to being prepared in emergencies, sharing a dramatic in-flight engine failure and forced landing where prior training mattered. He begins "Lessons From Elijah," noting Elijah was a man like us (James 5:17), highlighting faith to pray about rain, and recounting Elijah's provision by ravens, the widow of Zarephath, and the Mount Carmel confrontation where God answered with fire and Elijah called for rain. Occupy Part II
    Oct 20 2026
In Part Two of our series "Occupy" Bill and Roger teach that believers have spiritual authority in Christ and must "occupy" by putting God's Word into practice. They share how a Chrysalis retreat for college-aged girls turned despair and anxiety into salvation and freedom, sparking a growing Texas Tech campus Bible study drawing 70–90 students weekly. Using Matthew 7, they contrast hearing the Word with doing it, urging bold faith, prayer, and speaking in Jesus' name for victory in everyday life, including healing. The episode closes with an invitation to receive Jesus and a salvation prayer.
