In 2020 I became a stay at home dad.. Involuntarily.. I struggled with the new reality that for the first time since my release from prison, I would no longer be the "bread winner".. A shot to my pride because of the misconceptions I had about what a real man is and how a real man should support his family. Gender roles in 2021 are a no longer typical, and they are no longer the standard but a stereotype. Women are in positions of power, and Men are stay at home dads. Bottom line, there is nothing emasculating about a man who provides for his family. whether it's money or memories or both..
