What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more hood philosophy shit, and in this episode I'm once again running back the week's events through a philosophical lense.

Up first I ask - is their any merit to the idea of the ZOG - 'Zionist Occupied Government' - or is it just another one of many baseless anti-Semitic conspiracy theories?

All's I know is feds icing Rene Good in Minneapolis doesn't seem to bode well for the rest of us, especially considering the close relationship the IDF have with ICE, and this for sure aint a conspiracy homie. It's the imperial boomerang and dual-state theory in full force, and while right wingers are busy celebrating Good's merking under the guise of their thinly veiled xenophobia, they may very well be helping usher in a far greater and realer evil than a couple of Brown folk from around the way just looking to make a better life for themselves.

Speaking of Brown folx from around the way, I delve further into the Venezuela incident by discussing the narco-terrorism that is not only alive and well in the United States today (I'm looking at you, Sackler family), but that which has helped establish political dynasties that have shaped the landscape of American and global politics by way of the Opium Wars (shout out the Russells, Taft's, and Roosevelts).

I also talk about the importance of dialoguing across differences, and idea that was introduced to me in my doctoral program by my then dissertation advisor Jeniffer Clifton that asks us - what's preferable, World War 3 or reaching out folx on the other end of the political spectrum to see if there's any way we can work this mess out.

I know what my answer is, and I have a feeling I may know what yours is as well, the real question is whether it's the same answer as the 'masters of mankind'.

What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit, and on this episode I'm running back the latest national and geo-political events and showing how philosophy can help us make sense of them.

It's been a wild week with Somali fraudsters up in Minnesota, a continued escalation of war in Iran, and of course the US on some gangster rogue-nation shit with the kidnapping of President Maduro in Venezuela.

Alladat and there's still the lingering spectre of human trafficking, not just with the Epstein case anymore, but with even more instances that have emerged in the fallout of this scandal, particularly one here in my hometown of El Paso Texas that, if the allegations are to be believed, involve the highest levels of military and federal government.

Seemed outlandish at first until a couple weeks ago when the local city goverment blew the lid on a human trafficking network that has deep connections in this city, and as the demands of radical skepticism ask of us, we have to be willing to at the very least look into these allegations to see if there's any merit to them, as was the case with the Epstein Files.

Suffice to say, this week genuinely lived up to the saying that the United States is one nation under G.O.D.S. - guns, oil, drugs, and sex (human trafficking).

Seems bleak no doubt, but as always, I have the ancestral philosophy to help guide us through the darkness. We are reminded that within us there is a clear understanding of the past that can make the future more predictable, and that as tempting as it is to fall into despair given the current state of affairs, that will only lead to further division, exclusion, chaos and ultimately isolation that leads to nothing more than weakness, sickness, and death.

This is exactly what 'they' want homie, and it aint the solution, only community is. And we can only build that community by strengthening the links that unite us all, despite our differences, in this grand chain of humanity.

I don't give a MF about your ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and so on, it is all of us together as humans against the 'they' that are intent on strangling the remaining light of humanity out from this world.

What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit.

I hope you enjoyed the silence, as I had to take some months off to process the loss of my beloved Abuelito who permanently transitioned to the mictlan back in October.

In keeping with the spirit of his legacy however, I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd jump back on the mic to continue sharing this little hummingbird I'm nourishing with ya'll foos who are about it. If you're still listening to this, suffice to say I genuinely appreciate it.

Anyways, in this episode I'm discussing ancestral Nahuatl philosophy and how I'm implementing it to help navigate this current grief, the continued and ever-growing dangers of the technocracy, and... Joe Rogan?

Yeah dawg, also Joe Rogan, namely the role he plays in this ever-increasing technocracy as Peter Thiel's power bottom, and the ensuing role he's contributed to the 'male loneliness epidemic'.

What's good world - after five months, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit.

I hope you've enjoyed the silence cuz in this episode I'm bringing all the noise on all matters from the current socio-and-geo-political climate, to Jungian shadow work, and everything in between.

More directly, I'm finishing up an application of Marcuse's Repressive Tolerance by examining Kanye West and his infamous Alex Jones appearance, the philosophy of accelerationism, it's stage theory view on the unfolding of history, and their ensuing desire to expedite the collapse of everything we've come to know in an effort to rebuild a better(?) world, it's parallels in the ancestral Nahuatl understanding of time, and topping it off with a little insight into Jung's views on integrating the shadow and the role that played in my prolonged absence from the podcast game.

What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit.

In this episode, I'm talking the relationship between existential, phenomenology, and collectivism as expressed through Chalchiuhtlicue in ancestral Nahuatl philosophy and how it can lay the foundation for a better non-Marxist future.

I'm also talking about how The Mist by Steven King is a perfect metaphor for not only everything we're currently dealing with from a geopolitical standpoint, but for all the mysterious fogs that are popping up around the US. All this can be best understood through a little horror of philosophy by Eugene Thacker, so you know I had to sprinkle a little bit of that in, too.

And you know I had to continue along with the Repressive Tolerance article by Marcuse!

Ohh yeah, I also talk about how my now ex-girlfriend and I broke up recently after 15 years together, and how this lays the foundation for the overall theme of the episode which is learning to swim through the waters of life.

What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit, and on this episode we diving deep into the haps of the last month since the previous episode, including a deeper dive into the article 'Repressive Tolerance' by Herbert Marcuse.

Before all that though I talk ancestral Nahuatl philosophy, Type O Negative and the indelible effect Peter Steele in particular has had on my life, one last Christmas holiday zombie movie (Black Friday with Bruce Campbell of Evil Dead fame), the relationship between zombies, Marx, and capitalism, the events that occurred in New Orleans and Las Vegas (nah straight up, we were hoping for Project Blue Beam and all we got was TEMU September 22th, what a let down), how this in and of itself is an extension of the class war we are ensnared in, and finishing alladat up with the dangers of technocracy, censorship, and the limiting of reality through the policing of language that Marcuse discussed nearly sixty years ago!

It's honestly a banger of an episode homie, and without a doubt the longest to day date, a trend that will be the new norm for this podcast - I hope it helps kill the time in between episodes, and if you can get through the end in one sitting, you a real one fa sho.

  • Repressives Tolerance
    Dec 1 2024

What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit, and on this episode, I'm delving in to the article 'Repressive Tolerance' by Herbert Marcuse.

In my humble opinion, this is a seminal text in critical theory, one that often gets over looked, and given its relevance to today's political climate, I felt it appropriate to delves into.

Well, the first four pages cuz this is a dense read and I ended this episode near the two hour mark! Suffice to say, I'm very much looking forward to breaking it down in future episodes.

For now, I discuss the rise of Nazi and Hitler apologists, how Marx predicted this wave of anti-Semitism as being inextricably tied to capitalism and dire material conditions, and how Marcuse can help us understand that the only way to really combat it is to 'meet the people where they are at', to put it kindly.

This is a controversial take from a controversial text, so it should go without saying that this is perhaps one of the more (admittedly) controversial episodes I've made. But as I mention, life is not easy pretending otherwise by stating we can't have such difficult conversations is exactly what Marcuse means by repressive tolerance.

What's good world, we back from the crypt with some more of that hood philosophy shit.

It's been a while, and I talk all about why along with all the other topics that still make this podcast like the Exorcist but with more break dancing.

And by that of course I mean ancestral Nahuatl philosophy, 'conspiracies' like Project Popeye, weather modification, and the relationship with Hurricane Helene, class war, Brown foos and the N word, and a little bit of ancient Greek philosophy.

We're living in fun times homie and I feel like The Republic by Plato is one of the many texts that help us understand why they aren't unique, cataclysmic, let alone insurmountable, and I will be breaking down this text in the following episodes to explain how/why, starting with book two in this one.
