I am that dull man - a man driving around the country, for work (currently in a Volvo S90), travelling around 30,000 miles a year attending business meetings and appointments. I love being ‘out on the road’. I love travelling along our country’s intricate network of roads and motorways. I love stopping at motorway service stations, coffee shops and garage forecourts – Wildbean coffee and a chicken salad sandwich anyone? Oh yes. My working life exposes me to a truly fast paced, moving, thrusting Britain – all those hundreds of thousands of people out on the road, driving business forward. Making things happen. Commercial travellers, account executives, technical sales managers, sales agents, good old fashioned sales reps, van drivers, service engineers, truck drivers – all fantastic jobs, and wonderful areas of commerce to be involved in. No day is ever the same – there’s always a different challenge when you’re out on the roads of Britain. Avoiding potholes, avoiding traffic jams, avoiding straying into bus lanes, avoiding middle lane hoggers - now that’s a difficult thing to do! Avoiding drivers who leave their fog lights on, or people who use their fog lights in the rain – another difficult thing to do!

We’re all part of a community. We're fellow drivers, all of us trying to avoid these types of challenges and obstacles, and aiming to get to meetings, appointments or delivery slots on time.
