    About Wesley

While being blessed and privileged in many ways, much of Wesley’s life has been rife with mental, emotional, and even physical abuse.

Due to this, he spent much of his life living with feelings of anger, fear, guilt, and shame bottled up inside him.

This trauma was made worse due to being “twice-exceptional”, leading to a life full of hardship and misunderstanding.

What all of these experiences ultimately led to was a life completely full of denial and a near-absolute void of self-love.

He has gotten through this by reconnecting with his authentic self from childhood - before all of the conditioning and programming.

Wesley believes that if we hope to ever collectively heal this world, we must begin by first discarding the guilt, shame, and fear we feel when it comes to both expressing our authentic truths and acknowledging our lived experiences for what they were.

  • Episode 116: The Decisions We Make with Eric Daddario
    May 22 2023

HOW CAN THE DECISIONS WE MAKE IMPACT OUR FUTURES?

On this episode we are joined by Eric Daddario. Eric helps students and student-athletes understand how making better life decisions now leads to a more fulfilling life. Eric also reflects on his brother’s life and talks about some of the decisions that could’ve prevented his death. On this episode we discuss:

    • Addiction and loss

    • Benefits of playing sports

    • Making good decisions

For places to listen, places to connect on social media, to be a guest, collaborate with or sponsor DTE visit: https://linktr.ee/DisruptTheEveryday

    Eric’s website: https://thedecisionswemake.com/

    About Eric

Students are struggling to make healthy choices when dealing with pain and adversity. As a result, they make unhealthy decisions that do not solve their problems and are more likely to make them worse. This can lead to mental health challenges, including addiction, anxiety, and depression. Unfortunately, many youths believe they deserve what they are experiencing and, without help, will continue further down their darkened paths.

Eric helps students and student-athletes understand how making better life decisions now leads to a more fulfilling life. Through stories and examples, the students and athletes learn how they can immediately change the course of their own lives and the lives of others.

In our conversation, I include real-life experiences, including having witnessed my younger brother make poor decisions that ultimately led to his death. Of course, we also discuss people who have turned their lives around through making positive choices.

If your audience includes students, student-athletes, or their teachers and parents, I would enjoy the opportunity to show them how the decisions they make every day can have long-term consequences on their lives.
