The Blues Brothers are back! Well, at least one of them is. But this time, there’s a kid! And everyone else is old!

This week, Justin and Steve put on their dark shades and sunglasses to cover 1998’s BLUES BROTHERS 2000. But it wouldn’t be a true Blues Brothers episode unless we put the band back together, so this week the boys are joined by musician (and Steve’s actual former bandmate) Stephen Weinheimer.

The boys go on a mission from Quigley to try their best to understand one of the most misguided and unnecessary sequels of all time-a love letter to boomer culture that is also somehow supposed to appeal to the kids of the late ’90s. The results are more awkward than a 50-year-old Dan Aykroyd trying to dance.

Today, the original Nokia cell phone is more of a fable than a product, but back in 2003, the cell phone market wasn’t yet dominated by a black rectangle, and ingenuity was everywhere.

Which is why the former pulp manufacturer Nokia launched the N-Gage, a cellphone/gaming-device combo, in an effort to take down a little-known company called Nintendo.

And since you’ve probably owned a Game Boy or DS at some point in your life and have never heard of the N-Gage, you probably know who came out on top.

BUT! If you were one of the few who got this for Christmas instead of a Game Boy Advance, you probably know that it had impressive graphics and a killer game selection.

It’s just too bad that pretty much every other aspect of it sucked.

Once again, we’ve got more cops, more rock, and more Randy Newman sweating his butt off while playing the piano. It’s Cop Rock Episode 6 - Oil of Ol’Lay.

This may be Justin and Steve’s sixth Cop Rock assignment, but this time the chief is sticking them with a new partner and resident musical expert, Ellen Gutoskey. She’s here to help the boys understand how musical logic works and conduct a full investigation into whether those rules hold up in the world of Cop Rock.

Ellen is in for one hell of a ride-along as the sixth installment of Steven Bochco’s hard-edged cop show/musical delivers some of its most outlandish musical numbers yet, and quite possibly the cringiest scene in the entire series. Giddy up.
