Getting freedom in Christ is just the beginning of a journey to maintain freedom. Things like a works mentality, guilt, self help, and the performance trap can take you right back to bondage instead of living in the freedom that Christ alone can offer.

Prescriptures : Praying God’s Prescribed Word for the Conditions of Life

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. With every situation life can throw at us, there are scriptures to apply. When we pray the Word with confidence, our prayers avail much - this applies to prayers of deliverance and authority over the enemy. Suit up with the scriptures - Pray them aloud. Pray them in faith. Pray them with authority until something breaks.

Principalities and Powers:

Spiritual Warfare in the Present Age

Ephesians 6:10-18 | Colossians 2:13-15 | Galatians 1:4 | Hebrews 6:4-5 | Ephesians 3:10

The cross was D-Day. The return of Christ will be V-Day. We live in the gap. At the cross, Christ did not strip the enemy of his weapons, but He did minimize their power. The principalities and powers still wield temptation, deception, accusation, and affliction, but they have been publicly humiliated and their authority over those in Christ has been broken. They have not yet been utterly destroyed. They remain active, defeated but still fighting, until the King returns. Kingdom victory in this present age comes from the combination of three texts. Galatians 1:4 tells us where we stand: delivered from this present evil age. Hebrews 6:5 tells us what we taste: the powers of the age to come. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us how we fight: clothed in the whole armor of God. Positionally we are seated above the powers in Christ; practically we must enforce that position through warfare. Refuse the unspoken truce. Put on the whole armor of God. Stand firm in the strength of Christ until the King returns to finish what the cross began.

This episode concludes The Seven Nations series. The Jebusite spirit tramples Christ's sacrifice through pride (I don't need Him), shame (I'm too far gone for him to save me), doubt, or disdain. But nothing can wash away my sin — NOTHING but the blood of Jesus!
