Welcome to Change Unfiltered: The Freedom to Work Differently, the podcast for mid-career professionals rethinking success and quietly wondering, is this it?

You’ve built a strong career. Delivered results. Hit the milestones. But somewhere along the way, the job title, the salary and the stability stopped being enough.

This isn’t a podcast about burnout or breakdowns. It’s about the subtler discomforts: the quiet disconnection, the urge to do work that feels more like you, the questions that won’t go away.

Each episode shares real stories of people who’ve stepped off the traditional path (from fractional leaders, to consultants, to founders) and what it actually takes to reshape your life and work from the inside out.

If you’re at a crossroads and feeling out of sync with your old ambitions, Change Unfiltered offers insight, reflection, and real talk from those who’ve been there too.

Ready to challenge the status quo and work on your own terms? Subscribe and start exploring the possibilities.

  • Ep 51 ADHD: Beyond the Labels and Assumptions
    Oct 30 2026

What does ADHD look like when you've spent decades building a successful career, managing teams and appearing perfectly capable to everyone around you? And how much effort might be going into maintaining that appearance?

Nearly two years after Clare Landon (formerly Wearn) joined Change Unfiltered to talk about leaving corporate life, she returns for a rather different conversation. Since their first recording, Clare and Angela have discovered something else they share: both have ADHD. For Angela, who has rarely spoken publicly about her experience, this is an opportunity to explore something that has shaped much of her life and career but isn't always visible to the people around her.

They talk about receiving an ADHD diagnosis in midlife, looking back at behaviours they hadn't previously understood and navigating professional environments where success can make differences in how people think and work harder to recognise. From the tension between wanting freedom and needing structure to the overwhelming sense of dread that can accompany perceived rejection, they find plenty of common ground.

But some of the most revealing moments come when their experiences diverge. Clare describes her tendency to avoid conflict and process thoughts aloud, while Angela recognises a very different approach to both. They explore masking, the assumptions people make about ADHD and what happens when colleagues interpret someone's behaviour without understanding what's happening beneath the surface.

It's a conversation about two women who have built successful careers while experiencing the world differently, both from the people around them and, sometimes, from each other. And a reminder that understanding someone starts with curiosity rather than assumptions.

  • Ep50 When You Stop Living on Autopilot
    Oct 8 2026

For years, I've asked other people what happens when the life they've built no longer feels like the life they want. This time, I'm answering some of those questions myself.

This episode began as a conversation with Thomas Voigt about leaving corporate life, but became something broader: how do we notice when we've stopped actively choosing the life we're living?

We talk about the external validation that can keep us moving from one achievement to the next, why change doesn't necessarily mean leaving your career and why “enough” isn't about lowering your ambition.

I also share five areas I've found myself returning to when thinking about what I actually want my life to contain: health, creativity, peace, connection and growth. They're not another framework to optimise or five new goals to achieve. They're simply places to notice what's happening and ask better questions.

With thanks to Thomas Voigt, who originally invited me onto his podcast and created the space for this conversation.

  • Ep 49 When You Stop Climbing the Mountain
    Sep 18 2026

For much of our careers, success is about moving upwards. The next role, the bigger challenge, more responsibility, more recognition. But what happens when you realise you’re no longer interested in reaching the next peak?

Roberto Funari spent almost four decades building an international executive career, including serving as Global CEO of Alpargatas. Two weeks after leaving that role, a cycling accident left him dealing with memory loss and without the sense of control he had spent much of his career learning to master. Before the accident, his plan had been another executive role. In his words, “basically more of the same.”

In this conversation, Roberto speaks with Angela about what happened when that path stopped feeling inevitable. They explore the difference between your identity and your job title, why successful executives can become attached to status, recognition and control and why Roberto believes fulfilment can come from going “inside the mountain” rather than continuing to climb towards the next peak.

Roberto also talks about testing a return to the CEO world before realising he no longer wanted it, experimenting with different ways of working and learning that being capable of doing something doesn’t necessarily mean you want to do it. And they explore a different way of thinking about time: if we may have another 20 or 30 years of healthy, active life ahead of us, perhaps we don’t need to immediately fill all the space we create.
