This barrel aged stout ended up taking gold at GABF this year for wood aged stout, and it makes perfect sense after trying it! This is likely one of the best stouts I'm bound to have all year so we started out with a bang. Have you tried this beer yet?

Over the holidays I got and drank this brandy barrel aged barleywine from Block 15 brewing out of Oregon. This beer was also steeped on cinnamon and nutmeg to give it that extra kick of spice, or at least I'm assuming that was the idea!

I got a bottle of this years bourbon county base stout to try and man was I surprised at how good it was! Have you had anything from bourbon county?
