Found family isn’t an accident — it’s a craft. In this episode, we talk about the butch skills that make chosen family thrive: reliability, humor, emotional clarity, and the ability to fix the wobbly thing (literal or metaphorical). We look at how queer communities create safety and joy, how butches contribute to that ecosystem, and why belonging hits different when you’ve built it yourself. It’s heartfelt, practical, and full of butch swagger.

Join your butch daily crew as we discuss the joy, challenges, barriers and stereotypes of butch creativity and art. We dive into the topic of feeling our creative energy blocked by the fullness of life and the ways that we have found space again. Even though Janell says some busted things about singing to Dana, it's mostly a judgement free zone for re-engaging creative expression.

Join your Butch Daily crew as we take a clear‑eyed look at the real benefits and quiet privileges that come with butch identity — the presence, the steadiness, and the cultural truths that shape how we move through the world.

We dig into the ways butch culture creates its own form of social capital: the trust people place in us, the competence we cultivate, and the lineage we inherit from generations of queer resilience.

This isn’t about stereotypes — it’s about the lived reality of showing up with integrity, practicality, and a kind of grounded masculinity that makes space for others. We explore what’s earned, what’s learned, and what’s simply true about being butch today. It’s a reality check, a celebration, and a reminder of the responsibility of the power and priveledge in being built this way.
