Box2Box, as the name implies, is a weekly football podcast for fans, experts and part-time enthusiasts who enjoy genuine analysis and conversation from one end of the pitch to the other.

Top of the agenda each week will be the A-Leagues, a specific focus on the Socceroos & Matildas playing abroad and all Australia's FIFA World Cup qualification news. We’ll also be spending plenty of time on the UEFA Champions League and the other major European competitions including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga.

Box2Box features a line-up of experts who are famous for their hard-hitting opinions and each week we’ll chat current and former players along with some of the most authoritative journalists. The show digs deep into the politics and business of the world game providing insight and analysis fleshing out football's biggest issues.

Box2Box is a partnership between Gilbert Media and Australia’s Football Fan Network, the Green & Gold Army.

    The Newcastle Jets are A-League Men’s Premiers for the first time, winning a second trophy of the season and now eying an unprecedented domestic treble. James Gardiner of the Newcastle Herald returns to ponder the future for the club beyond this season, with Mark Milligan and numerous players likely to attract offers.
    Then to the UK, where Manchester City beat Arsenal 2-1 in a riveting, error-strewn clash that could go a long way to deciding the title. The BBC’s chief football writer Phil McNulty returns to digest the fixture, as well as storylines surrounding Tottenham, Forest & Thomas Tuchel’s England.

    Arsenal’s surprise 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth has blown the Premier League title race back open, with Manchester City finding form at the wrong time for those of a Gunners persuasion. The Athletic’s James McNicholas feels Arteta’s side must lift once again if they’re to finally go one better than their recent trio of second-placed finishes.
    Then to the A-League Men’s, where the weekly jostling of positions has seen Sydney FC back into third place, now under Patrick Kisnorbo. Erik Paartalu (10/Paramount+) returns with twelve matches left to shake out the finals positions, but plenty of enduring questions still to be answered.
