Democrats, the left, the leftists in the Democrat Party like to say they're all about diversity and inclusion. But when it comes to listening to views that differ from their own leftist politics, they suddenly forget the meaning of diversity and inclusion. They turn into censor-crazy Marxists. U.S. Army Lt. Col. Allen West (retired) was supposed to speak at a campus in Florida. But he was barred. Why? He's just too pro-America, it seems.

It's bad enough when a natural disaster strikes and citizens lose their homes, their businesses, their access to medical treatments and clean water and schools for their kids. But then to have to wait years — and more years! — for the well-funded FEMA to chip in the tax dollars to pay for the rebuilds? That's maddening and outrageous. David Richardson, who served as the acting head of FEMA during the Texas floods, and who then wrote the book on the bureaucracy of it all, "Texas Flood 4 July 2025," said you're better off rebuilding on your own if disaster strikes — because you can't afford to wait on the government to help.

America's on a freefall toward incompetent government — so it would seem, anyway. And the problem is that as government grows, so, too, the bureaucratic frustrations. It's one thing when tax paying American citizens can't get a real human on a government agency's telephone, and instead have to run the gamut of one recorded message after another. But what of when the bloated and inefficient and unaccountable bureaucratic class wants to go to war — or tell the citizens to take a Covid shot and stay home?
