Greetings and welcome. I'm InMyOwnWorld, a white, queer, multiply neurodivergent, multiply disabled, middle-aged she/her and they/them non-binary anti-capitalist with adult onset tic disorder, who is trying to cope with... well, everything.

One of the ways I cope is to talk to an imaginary audience. And, as long as I'm talking, I figured I may as well see if anyone wants to listen.

Originally conceived of as videos with my voice and a completely black screen, Black Box Recordings has become a podcast instead. An ad-free podcast consisting of disjointed ramblings, posted according to no schedule whatsoever..

Why a podcast of me rambling about whatever crosses my mind, whenever I want?

Because it will make me feel a little more connected to other people, whether or not it creates any connections. It's a placebo, to make talking to myself feel a little more productive. It's a scream into the void. It's turning the void into an ADHD body double.

I'll be putting my bluetooth earpiece in, opening up the Voice Recorder app, and pacing around the house while talking to you, my potential future audience. You'll get whatever's on my mind, for however long my brain can maintain focus on it.
