  • From the Pulpit | Christmas: the Light in the Darkness Part 1 by Pastor Matthew Moore
    Dec 8 2025

This week we begin our Christmas series with “CHRISTMAS - The Light in the Darkness.” Pastor Matt reminds us that while Christmas is often wrapped in joy, music, and celebration, many of us still walk into December carrying heaviness. Scripture shows us that God doesn’t wait for us to climb out of the dark - He steps into it with a Light that cannot be overcome.

Isaiah describes a people walking in deep darkness, yet a Light breaks through. Jesus isn’t just a distant hope; He is the Light of the world, present with us in fear, grief, uncertainty, and the shadows we try to hide. And this Child born to us is the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace - everything our darkness tries to convince us we’ll never find.

Where do you need His light today? Where do you need His peace, His strength, or His guidance? The dawn is rising, and the darkness will not have the final word.
