Judah goes to Timnah and Tamar sees that she was not given to Shelah. Tamar, disguises herself as a prostitute and sits by the road. Judah consorts with Tamar and leaves her his signet, his wrap, and his staff. Later, Judah hears that Tamar is pregnant by harlotry. Tamar bears Perez and Zerah by Judah.
