This episode serves as a first descent into the Manor and its surrounding estate: the shifting Hedge Labyrinth, the candlelit Gothic Medical Theatre, the fog-laden gardens tended by ghostly Fogkeepers, the loyal Manorbound servants, and the chained Carpathian Hounds bred for ceremonial blood sport.
