This holiday season sees the release of a remake of a movie that generated one of the biggest controversies in film history.
The movie in question is Silent Night, Deadly Night, a low budget slasher that featured a killer in a Santa Claus suit. When it was initially released, Parents mobilized to have the film boycotted, claiming that it destroyed the sanctity of Christmas and jeopardized children's trust in jolly old Saint Nick.
In this episode, I will be exploring the controversy, the movie itself , the franchise it spawned and the true reason behind why it caused such an uproar, as well as the history of who has really controlled Hollywood. This is another planet’s hell.
