Frances Schoonmaker is Professor Emerita at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she directed the graduate-level childhood education program and helped prepare generations of future educators, often through the power of children’s literature and storytelling. Her career spans decades in the classroom, both as a teacher and teacher educator, and through her work, she has taught and consulted across the globe, with a special focus on the Middle East and Asia.As an award-winning author, our guest has brought her deep understanding of history and humanity to the page with The Last Crystal Trilogy, a fantasy adventure that spans from the Santa Fe Trail to World War II.
