For the very first episode of the Houston Experiment, host Greg Houston will talk with composer Alex Shapiro about the challenges composers face in applying for composition compositions and call for scores. This podcast is based on an article Alex wrote on NewMusicBox titled "Dissing The Competition" which you can view here at https://nmbx.newmusicusa.org/dissing-the-competition/.
