Das Hörbuch ist ideal wenn man sich eher eine Weitwinkelperspektive über die Produktion von Dokumentarfilmen aneignen will. Dafür kriegt man von vielen Aspekten ein Einblick aber geht man nicht so in der Tiefe. Manches ist leicht outdated oder aus einer alte Schule Perspektive erzählt mit ein paar Aktualisierungen in Bezug auf social media. Den größten Teil der Referenzen und Organisationen die erwähnt werden kommen aus dem englischsprachigen Raum. Das kann in manchen Fällen als Europäer nicht so nützlich sein.
