But the intimate chapters of the relationship are textbook abusive.
My general problem with this is, that the abuse gets romanticised. Real life abuse victims might read this and get gaslighted into believing this is normal romance. They might take years longer to realise they are getting abused and to get out of it because of books like that.
I can increase the speed or skip sections, but please put a trigger warning and a non skipable disclaimer (that this is not normal and not healthy relationship and to get help if you experience similar things)
Where it is abuse?! He blatantly disregards her multiple "stop" and "nos regarding violence within s"X. Because he "knows" she really likes it and " needs" it. That's what abusers do, and they often explain it that way to themselves.
Never ok, even if a woman gets t"rned on by violence , if she says No, then it's r*pe and ab*se.
He is fully controlling where she goes what she does and punishes her if she doesn't listen. He follows her almost everywhere. She says no multiple times and he still controls her. His reasoning is, he wants to protect her. This is the reasoning of many abusers. Most of them don't realise they are abusive (firstly).
