That said, I loved the book, although I needed the breaks (that were forced upon me as I listen to the audio book when driving or on my commute only).
I really, really enjoyed the flashbacks and how we got more and more information on the background story!
Some of the plot twists were just sooo unexpected, I was like: W. T. F!?
What I did not like, was the ending. The main story felt a bit cut short and it was only mentioned shortly in the second last chapter how it ended, but we did not get to see it, really.
And the end itself?? I am now afraid of what will happen in the next book! I will continue, I need to know how this ends... But yes, I am afraid. I'd love there to be a happy ending for the 2 characters of the last 2 chapters, but I just don't see how this could work out.
Last but not least: read the trigger warnings!! They're there for a reason!
