this is a fantastic account of the day to day going ins during WW II in the pacific. And just to happens, that two pilots fall in law with each other and deal with the implications that will have on their envisioned future. But centerpiece of the book is the everyday danger of discovery - by enemy fighters - and the drudging and dulling process of being at war. A true gem that shouldn't be missed!
