Man braucht etwas, bis man sich eingehört hat; der Anfang ist wenig erklärend, die Charaktere entwickeln ihr Profil für den Leser langsam im Verlauf der Geschichte.
Aber es macht definitiv Spass, Sam Berger kennen zu lernen, den Rückblenden in seine Vergangenheit zu folgen und die Tätersuche zu begleiten. Wie Sam zu einem gleichgesinnten Partner kommt ist dabei integraler Bestandteil des Buches- und wird gelungen und folgerichtig beschrieben.
